Roman Hankewycz collaborates with some of the most established filmmakers in the advertising and entertainment industries including Spike Lee, Martin Scorsese, Andrew Ahn, Nathaniel Kahn, Brian Koppelman, Ari Aster, William Rexer (ASC), Tim Ives (ASC), Pawel Pogorzelski, Eric Lin, Edu Grau (ASC), and Errol Morris. Hankewycz lends his color expertise to restoring Criterion Collection titles alongside celebrated filmmakers such as Martin Scorsese on his collection of early works as well as the iconic concert film Last Waltz, the Hughes brothers and Lisa Rinzler on Menace II Society, Ed Lachman to reimagine the color palate for Mira Nair’s Mississippi Masala, Bette Gordon on Variety, Bill Pope on the Wachowski’s Bound, and Terence Malik on his masterpiece Days of Heaven.
His ongoing collaborations include working with Ari Aster and Pawel Pogorzelski on both Midsommar and Beau is Afraid produced by A24.
