About

Gascoigne is a highly collaborative and creative colourist with a strong artistic eye and and in-depth technical understanding. As a London-based colourist, he has built an impressive portfolio of work across a broad range of high-end television and theatrical productions. He has worked across multiple seasons of Black Mirror for Netflix and has recently completed colour duties on all five episodes of the latest sixth season of the show. Other recent highlights include Kaos and Larissa: The Other Side of Anitta for Netflix, The Rig for Amazon, This England for Sky Atlantic, Endeavour for ITV, Sharper for Apple TV+ and Why Didn’t They Ask Evans? for Britbox.

Prior to his tenure at Harbor, Alex worked at Picture Shop, formerly Technicolor, where he was highly influential in developing HDR workflows for high-end drama productions. He began his career at Pepper as a runner and worked his way through the ranks assisting some of the industry’s top colourists. With a degree in graphic design and a master’s in film production, Alex has always had a passion for filmmkaing, digital imaging, and photography. His work as a colourist has been informed by many hours spent processing black-and-white film in the darkroom, shooting 16mm student film projects, and working with Photoshop to manipulate his images.
