Toby has an impassioned interest in colour and film emulation, consistently focused towards enhancing emotion and story. Everything in service of the work, always. This fascination has led Toby to develop tools and techniques which contribute directly to the success of his clients’ creative projects. He regularly collaborates with globally respected, multi-format directors and DoPs who are the best in their field.
Over a decade of experience has earned Toby high-profile commercial clients; from Porsche, BMW and Aston Martin to Essity, McDonald’s and Asics, as well as awards at Creative Circle, British Arrows, UKMVAs and Kinsale Sharks.
He has also played a significant role in many award-winning TV shows including ‘The End of the F***ing World’, ‘This Is Going To Hurt’, and ‘Eric’.
In 2015 he founded Hackney-based Cheat, an artist-run post production studio known for its bold colour and finishing work across advertising and entertainment. The success of the studio led to its acquirement this year by The Harbor Picture Company, consolidating resources and talent for global growth.
