With decades of experience in color grading, Senior Colorist Paul Yacono has collaborated with top directors and global brands across film, television, and advertising. His portfolio includes acclaimed projects such as Netflix’s House of Cards, Ava DuVernay’s Oscar-nominated 13th, and multiple high-profile Super Bowl campaigns. Yacono’s expertise spans commercials, feature films, episodic television, documentaries, and music videos. He has worked with visionary filmmakers including David Fincher, Ava DuVernay, Jonathan Nolan, Gus Van Sant, Errol Morris, and Chloé Zhao. His contributions to Beyoncé’s Black Is King and Kendrick Lamar’s “DNA” video further highlight his impact on visual storytelling. His commercial work features collaborations with brands such as BMW, Apple, Nike, Gucci, Ford, and Samsung. During his tenure at A52, Yacono played a key role in establishing the company’s color division before leading the color department at The Mill Los Angeles, solidifying his reputation as a leader in the field. His deep understanding of color science and cinematic texture has shaped the visual identity of groundbreaking projects like The Black Godfather, Five Came Back, and Amanda Knox.
